A Marine Killed In His Own Home
A Marine Killed In His Own Home
The Pima County Sheriff's Department initially claimed (PDF) Guerena fired his weapon at the SWAT team. They now acknowledge that not only did he not fire, the safety on his gun was still activated when he was killed. Guerena had no prior criminal record, and the police found nothing illegal in his home. picked by zircon77777 6 months ago

It's APPALLING how many times the police have changed their story about this raid, as well as how the documents regarding the raid have been sealed.

First it was marijuana related, then he was part of a home invasion ring, and now they're just standing there with their d**ks in their hands while a father of two lays dead by their bullets.

"The SWAT guys are pretty hurt and confused because normally there's great support for them in this community"

Really? They really can't accept that they may have made a mistake, and that's why the support isn't pouring in this time?

I will never understand why a SWAT team is required to invade someones home with guns drawn, when the person has no criminal record. It's just asking for a disaster like this.

"He said "many guns" were found in the house, including the AR15 that Guerena was holding, another rifle, and a handgun. Body armor was also found and a U.S. Border Patrol hat, he said. "He was well-armed, well armored," Krygier said, but when asked if Guerena was wearing body armor at the time of his death, he said, "no…he basically had a pair of boxer briefs on and that was it."

Many guns = 3.

Heavily armored = underwear.
